After reading an advertisement for a Reno, NV gun show in a firearms
magazine, William D. Maniaci, owner of Maccabee Arms LTD (www.MaccabeeArms.com)
purchased two tables for the event, which was to be held at the Boomtown
Hotel and Casino. Like many firearms dealers, he invested heavily
in stock to be sold at the show.
Last week he received a letter stating that “In light of the
recent unfortunate incident at Virginia Tech”, firearms would
not be allowed to be displayed or sold at the show. That's right --
the "gun show" is now a "sporting goods and accessories"
show.
Understandably upset, Mr. Maniaci is urging all Second Amendment
supporters to boycott all enterprises owned by Boomtown's parent company,
Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. You can read the full letter by Mr. Maniaci,
including a list of all of Pinnacle Entertainment's holdings, at www.jpfo.org/maniaci.htm
.
Read the letter and make note of these businesses. As Mr. Maniaci
points out, "There are plenty of other hotels and casinos who
are not anti-gun. Why should we patronize anti-gun establishments?"
Why indeed?
