Barry Greenfield wants militarized police to inspect the guns in your home.

Swampscott Selectman Barry Greenfield was reported by the Swampscott Patch newspaper on November 7, 2013 to advocate police inspecting homes for compliance with Massachusetts gun law governing storage and other items.

This is without warrant or cause and clearly he envisions citizens not having the right to refuse, presumably he envisions the use of force against anyone who peacefully resists.

Tyranny doesn't come first with the obvious boot stomping formations of soldiers and fiery speeches. It starts more low key, from within our own society. It starts with people like Barry.

Our police departments have become increasingly militarized and the zeal of gun grabbers like Barry seem to know no end. Not content with some of the most anti-Second Amendment laws in America, this Massachusetts elected official wants to take the extra step of violating the Fourth Amendment in his efforts to violate the Second Amendment.

This person has absolutely no business serving in government. We call for an apology or his immediate resignation.

Call Barry and, respectfully, let him know what you think of him and his plan.

His phone number is: 1-855-433-3468 X101

His email is: bgreenfield@efficientgov.com

You can also call the Swampscott Board of Selectmen at 781-596-8850. Please be aware that the other selectmen in the town do NOT necessarily agree with Mr. Greenfield and the person answering the phone may not as well.

Call Swampscott Police Chief Ron Madigan and tell him that you expect him to arrest anyone who violates the 2nd OR 4th Amendment to the Constitution covering unlawful searches. The Chief's number is 781-595-1111

Also, if not in Swampscott, let your local reps avoid some hassle and know upfront that this will not stand!

(On the matter of law enforcement behavior, warrentless searches and treatment of citizens etc -- check out the below (part of the article source page). We at JPFO have over time posted several articles looking at the increasingly apparent police state and the video included here is more than concerning.)

Marauding Barbarians or Public Servants?

To Serve and Protect … the current police force at large in the United States has made a mockery of the slogan. Apparently it takes half a dozen or more officers to "subdue" suspects crouched in defensive postures. Nothing says, "Don't resist" like a dozen feet enthusiastically kicking a man laying on the ground covering his head. Nothing says, "Comply" like beating a handcuffed man in the face when he cannot even sit up without support. Nothing says, "Do what I say" like bullies with badges violently enforcing their will on the general public, while the law rests firmly on their side.
