Newest "Smart Gun" Concept Probably
Most Sensible Yet, Still Poses Threat
A real threat to private gun ownership is the possibility of government-mandated "smart gun" technology, to ostensibly make us "safer," by making it less likely that a gun will fire when the trigger is pulled.
A law mandating this technology for all new handguns sold to private citizens (as opposed to law enforcement) is already on the books in New Jersey, although it won't go into effect until three years after the state's attorney general rules that such a gun is on the market--which some say has already happened, and are thus suing to start the countdown on the law............ -->
