Prosecutor Gun Handling Skills

This is a piece of news coverage that has already been broadly well featured except perhaps by most 'MSM', but it is worth highlighting.

During closing arguments yesterday in the Rittenhouse case, the lead attorney for the prosecution Thomas Binger waved an AR-15 around while pointing it at people - all the while having a finger on the trigger!

Waving a weapon around with no thought to basic firearms safety is how people can get killed. Alec Baldin demonstrated this tragically when he shot and killed a cinematographer on the set of the "Rust"movie production recently, not having followed basic safety rules (something typical of most anti-gun people).

Did Binger inspect that AR-15 himself? We probably won't ever know, but we do know that he aimed it at living human beings while having his finger squarely on the trigger. Even though there was no magazine inserted, was the chamber clear?!

There are various interpretations of safety rules which for the most part state make the same message. One example is -

Every weapon to be treated as loaded
Never point your weapon at something you don't wish to destroy
Never put your finger on the trigger until ready to shoot
Know your target and what is beyond

While doing the rifle waving Binger stated - "That is what provokes this entire incident. When the defendant provokes an incident, he loses the right to self-defense. You cannot claim self-defense against a danger you create."

So, carrying a weapon is by default creating a danger and nullifying the option to defend onself? Amazing!
