NOTE - From May 15th 2008 - links to newer documents received can be found indexed on this page which covers up to October 2009, with a failed petition for review failure.

March 2012 - NEW - Sound file from a broadcast 2/29/12 with David Olofson on Blogtalkradio. This can be found dated March 5th on our Talkin to America page. It is long, but David goes into much detail on his background and the time line of this travesty of a case. Larry Pratt of GOA is a guest, and Kelly Kernicki also speaks.

Information chronology begins from bottom of this page.

Update 06/16/08 - We have received a copy of David Olofson's interview on "Live Fire Radio" with GOA's Larry Pratt on May 20th. 12Mb MP3 file. (You can listen to this on Talkin' to America - scroll down to 6/19/08.)

Update 05/20/08 - Two new links - we hear there is a stand-alone site for Lou Dobbs, with a page for this case. It does not appear to add a lot and has links to videos, however thus far any attempt to view the fifth video link has been unsuccessful. There was also an article on the case at Guns Magazine.com, by David Codrea - now seemingly missing, sorry.

Update 05/17/08 - To make sure the later Lou Dobbs clips can be accessed (they are bound to disappear eventually), we have converted these and archived them on the site.  As with the #1 and #2 clips (see links in earlier update) ........ these are considerably 'shrunk' and compressed to keep size reasonable - all clips are between 8Mb to 12Mb the largest.  Once more each is available as a Windows Media Video version for PC's or an MOV for Quicktime users.  The last program on Lou Dobbs - May 14th, does not appear to be available as a video clip unfortunately.

File links - Lou Dobbs #3 (WMV), #3 (MOV) and Lou Dobbs #4 (WMV), #4 (MOV) - May 8th 2008. The transcript of #4 (containing material omitted from the video clip) - is to be found here.

We now also have the transcripts (in PDF format) from the court case here, (690Kb) and here (350Kb).

Update 05/09/08 - Sentencing was due 05/07/08 but defence submitted more information.  Information that the BATFE had kept hidden originally by labelling it as containing tax details and so not available to the court.  This seems to not be the case and this plus an ATF document from 1986 throws a different light on things.  Lou Dobbs on CNN covered this after the court case but has again given time to it - you can see part of the latest segment using this link to the video clip - http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/bestoftv/2008/05/08/ldt.tucker.govt.guns.cnn .

Earlier CNN clips from mid March can be downloaded, to suit your computer player requirements - #1 (WMV), #1 (MOV) ........ #2 (WMV), #2 (MOV) . The latest clip (#4) is not yet archived but should be available using the link quoted above. It should be noted (well) that the video clip did not include some valuable and positive comments from Ted Deeds of the The Law Enforcement Alliance of America, and for this reason we urge you to read the full transcript - to be found on this page.

A text article summary also become available, which also refers to the various video links.

Update 1/11/08 - It would seem this case was a total debacle and Mr Olofson was found guilty. Len Savage was present and reports his experience in our ''Talkin' to America" interview hosted by Aaron Zelman, which you should listen to - it will seriously alarm anyone who thinks justice prevails, let alone what it might mean for future BATFE attempts at prosecuting innocent firearms owners.

1/7/08 - This case is soon to go to trial - and we await the results hoping that the BATFE will totally lose the case. It is hoped to bring you news of the outcome when we get it. We also now have the indictment document ... (download the PDF file, 40k)
