Nikole Ardeno
WA County Jail

“Anti-violence activists charged in vicious attack,” the Associated Press reports. “Two ‘Stop the Violence’ organizers allegedly beat one of their colleagues so severely that he vomited blood and was left unconscious in critical condition.”

One of the arrestees, Nikole Ardeno, “was still wearing the same ‘Stop the Violence’ T-shirt she had on the night before when she coordinated a march protesting two recent shootings,” the report notes. And these are hardly the first such “activists” to show the ugly stuff they’re really made of.

This past summer, I wrote about a home invasion robbery gone wrong, with one teen robber fatally shooting his accomplice in the head. They were both employed by the State of Illinois to pass out “anti-violence” pamphlets.

A month later, I noted another “anti-violence activist” who illegally took a gun to school, causing a lockdown and a search. Unsurprisingly, after first trying to mask his guilt, he still received lenient treatment from the law.

Over the past several years, I’ve talked about the founder of an anti-gun group getting arrested for illegally selling guns. I’ve told readers about two Chicago CeaseFire representatives, one charged with 36 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping, the other charged with selling heroin.

Amy Fisher

I’ve covered similar stories, like the one about a Philadelphia gun “buyback” sponsor who ended up going to prison on gun and corruption charges. I’ve noticed the Tre Crips gang doing their bit for “gun control. I’ve shaken my head at the disarmament efforts of, among others, a straw purchaser and a gun and ammo supplier for the Columbine killers, “Long Island Lolita” Amy Fisher, a Million Mom March activist who shot the wrong man trying to avenge her son’s death, and another Million Mommy who was busted with an “illegal” handgun and drugs.

And the hits just keep on coming.

Just over the past week, we’ve seen what Bob Owens of Bearing Arms describes as a “Virginia open carrier ... SWATted by [a] known gun control loon.” And we’ve seen someone who ought to know better, an anti-gun billionaire, broadcasting “We need more school shootings!!!” on Facebook to make a political point.

The truism I referred to in the title is a saying I’ve seen proven time and again: For “progressives,” every day is Opposite Day. That’s why I always put the word in quotation marks.

We’ve seen it play out here at JPFO with a “progressive” philosopher lacking wisdom and rationality. We’ve seen it with totalitarians celebrating the UN’s “International Day of Peace” by shoring up their iron grip on a disarmed populace.

We see it every time the antis push the fraud that “gun control” is a beneficial social policy. We see it every time the right of the people to keep and bear arms is infringed.

We see it every time an “anti-violence” advocate demands a state monopoly of – you guessed it – violence.
